OLGC's Mission of Hope Minsitry began 20 years ago when our parishioners donated funds to build a clinic and school in Batey Lecheria in the Dominican Republic.
Over the years, our parishioners have generously donated supplies for both the school and the clinic, as well as funds to support the teachers, children and families. Each year a group of parishioners commits to traveling to the DR, they organize the donations and plan a project to work on, with the Nuns who live there, that will benefit the community.
Here you can see the list of service projects we accomplished in 2022, from packing the shipping container, building and roofing projects, painting of a mural, and compassionate medical care visits amongst a variety of other smaller service projects. You can see example conditions of the homes in both the Build Projects and Compassionate Care tabs on the website.
