Pathways is our new and engaging model for faith formation (formerly known as CCD or Religious Education), designed to connect and support families, foster an encounter with God, learn and grow together in our Catholic faith, and empower parents with skills and support to enrich family life and faith. This year we will be introducing three Family Faith Formation Classes.
Main Family Faith Formation: SEEK
SEEK is our main Family Faith Formation Class for families with children in grade K-7. It is a kerygmatic experience with three tracks: Parents, Middle School, and Children, with age-appropriate content for each. Over the course of 6 at-church sessions, families will be invited on a journey to discover the good news of our faith by reflecting on the following themes: Community, Creation, Redemption, and Relationship as well Advent and Lent during their respective times of the liturgical year.
Sacramental Year of Family Faith Formation: MEND and NOURISH:
MEND: A first Reconciliation family experience designed for Second Grade children. We Invite parents to reflect on their experience of Reconciliation and equip them to teach, share faith, and pray with their children. Families will encounter Jesus and experience the beauty of Reconciliation through hands-on activities and meaningful conversations. Your family dive deeper into the incredible gift God gives us of Reconciliation, with Mend.
NOURISH: A first Communion family experience designed for Second Grade children. We invite parents to teach, share faith, and pray with their children as they discover how the Mass relates to daily life. Families will encounter Jesus and experience the beauty of the Eucharist through a variety of hands-on activities and meaningful conversations. Your family will dive deeper into the incredible gift God gives us of the Eucharist, with Nourish.
Each family will attend one Sunday session per month from 11am-12pm. After Family Mass at 10am, families will gather for a teaching on a topic in our Catholic faith. Students and parents will then attend separate classes. Children will dive into activities and experiences at their grade level. Simultaneously, there will be a session specifically designed for parents. Additionally, we provide take-home activities to support engaging conversations and positive experiences with faith at home! Families are encouraged to attend our 10:00 am Family Mass prior to Family Faith Formation classes.
